VIETNAM

HANOI

Seeing videos of people riding bikes and eating street food in the city of Hanoi has piqued my interest for some time. So, I woke up one day and finally decided to just go. No big plans, no packed itinerary, just a chance to slow down and  see the hustle of Hanoi. I took a few days staying near the center of Hanoi. I took it easy, eating pho and drinking the sweet Vietnamese coffee. It was cool watching the bikes zipping by, but at the same time, the people were just taking life easy. This time of year was right before the start of the Lunar New Year. So everybody was shopping and getting ready to leave the city to visit family. After a few days soaking that in, I headed south to Ninh Binh, which was the perfect place to relax and edit photos. I stayed tucked deep in the limestone mountains rising up and out of the endless rice fields. It was the perfect place to just exhale and let the days move at their own pace. Vietnam wasn't meant to be a big adventure trip for me. It was more of a chance to get out, breathe something different, and let a new place do its thing. It delivered on all of it.
